The Cast of Bones

New to Bones? Or are you just looking to know a bit more about the cast and characters? The Bones cast is made up of some of the most attractive people in the world! Here's a description of each cast member and their character in Bones.

Emily Deschanel

Emily Deschanel, born October 19 1976, is a vegan and is committed to animal rights causes. She is married to David Hornsby, and the two are expecting their first child in Fall 2011.

Emily is the star of Bones, playing main character Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan, a gifted forensic anthropologist who works with the rest of the Jeffersonian team and Special Agent Seeley Booth to solve difficult murders. Bones and Booth are a dynamite team, and are also expecting a child in Fall 2011.

David Boreanaz

David Boreanaz, born May 16 1969, has starred in other shows before Bones, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. He is currently married to Jaime Bergman, and the two have a son and a daughter.

David plays Special Agent Seeley Booth, a fun detective from the FBI who was once a sniper. Booth is your typical golden boy, but all grown up. He works with Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan to solve difficult murders. Bones and Booth are a dynamite team, and are expecting a child in Fall 2011.

Michaela Conlin

Michaela Conlin, born June 9 1978, is best friends with Emily Deschanel in real life. She is unmarried.

Michaela plays Angela Montenegro, a carefree artist who is Bones' best friend. Angela does facial reconstructions of the victims in order to find out their true identities. Angela also helps out the members of the "Squint Squad" during the investigations. Angela is essential to solving each murder case. Angela is currently married to Hodgins, and the two have a son, Michael Staccato Vincent Hodgins.

T.J. Thyne

T.J. Thyne, born March 7 1975, has appeared in episodes of many other popular shows besides Bones, including Friends, NCIS, and CSI. He is unmarried.

T.J. plays Dr. Jack Hodgins, an entomologist. He is a self processed bug and slime guy, who loves doing experiments. He used to work together with Dr. Zack Addy on experiments, where they competed to be "King of the Lab" until Zack became the apprentice to a cannibalistic serial killer and was moved to a psychiatric facility. Hodgins is currently married to Angela, and they have a son named Michael Staccato Vincent Hodgins.

Tamara Taylor

Tamara Taylor, born September 27 1970, appeared in several movies and television shows besides Bones, including Lost and Diary of a Mad Black Woman. She is currently married to Miles Cooley.

Tamara plays Dr. Camille Saroyan, a coroner and head of the Forensic Division at the Jeffersonian. Cam was introduced to us during Season 2, and she's been with us ever since. Cam is in charge of dealing with the flesh on the bones, while Bones deals with the bones. This leads to many debates over the importance of flesh vs. bones. Cam is a major player on the Jeffersonian team, and does a great job keeping the Squint Squad (and the rest of the group) on task.

John Francis Daley

John Francis Daley, born July 20 1985, is the youngest member of the Bones cast. Before Bones, he starred in the NBC comedy series Freaks and Geeks.

John plays Dr. Lance Sweets, an FBI psychologist who is hired to manage Booth and Bones after Booth arrests Bones' father. We are introduced to Dr. Sweets in Season 3. Sweets is always being teased about his age, especially by Booth. Sweets helps out in the cases by providing Booth and Bones with profiles on potential suspects. He also helps Booth out in the interrogation room. Bones doesn't support psychology, and she expresses her opinion to Sweets on a daily basis. Without Sweets, Bones and Booth would have no way to get inside the minds of murderers.

Those who portray members of the Squint Squad, one season only members, deceased members, and Zack Addy will be added at a later date.
